Story of the Day

I met the mayor of Portland today.  He is very calm.  I met our last mayor once.  His name was Sam Adams, probably named after the beer.  He was rowdy.  I set off his silent alarm and he just laughed and laughed.  But in all fairness, it was a giant red panic button.  Who could resist pushing that?

We visited our sponsors Reser's today and they stuffed us full of delicious food.  And then they packed us up some food to go.  It's like my Mom runs that place.

At one of the retirement communities I met Tom and Pat.  Tom wears a wedding ring, and Pat does not, but they obviously love each other.  So, I ask "How do you know each other?"  Pat says, "He's my Dad." And then Tom starts laughing, so Amber and I start laughing.  But Pat is not laughing.  "No, really, he's my Dad." Pat is not amused.  Tom is a rascal.  He's probably been waiting years to pull that gag.
