Story of the Day
We had a quiz on the Rose Festival today. But they're going to let me represent them anyway.
We also had a buffet dinner for our friends and family. I invited my friends and my mentor, as well as my Mom and my favorite administrators at Lincoln.
We watched a slide show of our progress so far. Today is the last time we will appear in non-matching clothing. We each got to wear one of our 15 or 16 outfits.

Rose City Sing-Off
Story of the Day
Five hours of Princess training, but I'm alright. Blarg. Tonight I went to the Rose City Sing Off and fell in love with A Cappella! My favorite group was Nothing But Treble, probably because of their awesome shoes!!!! And their rendition of "Mary, Did You Know" absolutely brought the house to tears. All these kids are uber talented and most groups are student created and led. I can respect that!

The quote read, "The 2015 Court look snazzy in their new outfits from their wardrobe sponsor FredMeyer!" But the public was not buying it. Portlanders can be so opinionated and humorous at the same time...I cracked up when someone called this Portland camouflage. That said, our wardrobes really are all about combining pieces for multiple outfits. Thanks to Fred Meyers and Ms. Carla Stenberg for a lot of great separates!
Melissa Jarvis Kuhn Remember the days when there was a full spread of all the outfits, formal pics of the girls and the Benson High Boys were the drivers
Shannon Provence Well, it was nice of Fred Meyer but those outfits are HIDEOUS. Not the girls, they are beautiful. I guess just wear them like that ugly sweater from grandma...only in front of her.(Or in this case at Fred Meyer)
Deanna Quillen That's not camouflage, they're "flowers" on those pants. (It's a good thing we dress for women and not men). They look darling, and I am so glad they continue the tradition set so many years ago.
Suzanne Culver Doran Fred Meyer needs a new stylist. How embarrassing for these great young women. Hopefully, other outfits are better. Ditch the sweater and shoes and give them a cute pair of ballet flats and get a new wardrobe sponsor!!
Cindy Herget- Donaldson I remember running into the group of girls with my daughter once about 6 years or so ago. She was little and was so thrilled to pose for a quick photo.
Carla Rice Stenberg Thank you Fred Meyer for helping select a very trendy fashion "rose" print pant, a hot pink t shirt that goes with lots of other clothes we have selected and a cute basic white cardigan to go with any of our outfits. The shoes rock and will look cute w...See More
